For a while the popular social activity was to join a book club, then once a month we would get together at someone’s house and spend a couple of hours talking about the book. But then people started having conflicts and not showing up. Next thing you know, it’s down to just one or two other people, and if you aren’t really friends with those few people, it gets easy to stop going.

I guess I need to find a new book club or maybe some other kind of club to develop a new hobby. Going home alone every night gets boring.

Yesterday was the first day of school for our county. Which means that traffic is going to be a nightmare once again each week day morning due to all of the big yellow school buses that are the busiest in the morning making their rounds around the neighborhoods picking up the K – 12 students to get them safely to school.

It really messes up a lot of people’s morning commute getting stuck behind a slow moving, ever stopping and going yellow school bus. I’m just grateful that most of them are done by the time I’m heading home in the evening.

My friend Mary writes about getting her Groove on BIG time in it she says

Yes for the last couple of weekends I have been heading down town with friends and dancing till my feet and legs can not take it no more. This is why i have not been able to blog here much because this was going to be my weekend hobby for awhile but now I have turned to dancing to my blog postings will be far and in between for a bit until i get tired of it but for now it is a great way to exercise and also have a fun time.
