New Movies
by Sue on Aug.09, 2011, under Life, Movies
I’ve fallen behind on watching the new movies. It seems like I have so much to do while the sun is up, and once it gets dark around 8:30 I still have to deal with cooking dinner and all the little household chores. By the time I’m ready to watch a movie, it is too late. I will just have to set aside one night for movies and make a point to get one at Redbox on my way home.
Summer Thunder
by Sue on Aug.05, 2011, under Life, News
We have begun the dog days of summer. Every day is hot with a chance of thunderstorms. Thankfully, we have not heard much about hurricanes. Maybe this year will just be hot and not so much other bad weather. The heat I can bear, as I work inside all day. The worst part is getting into a steamy hot car and a steering wheel too hot to hold.
Book Clubs

For a while the popular social activity was to join a book club, then once a month we would get together at someone’s house and spend a couple of hours talking about the book. But then people started having conflicts and not showing up. Next thing you know, it’s down to just one or two other people, and if you aren’t really friends with those few people, it gets easy to stop going.
I guess I need to find a new book club or maybe some other kind of club to develop a new hobby. Going home alone every night gets boring.
Free Music Online
by Sue on Jul.22, 2011, under Fun Stuff, Music, The Web
Have you heard about the free music online from a company called Spotify? It is like your own personal jukebox – you create playlists of your favorite songs and then listen to them on your PC or even your smartphone. That would be so cool! But when I went to their web site to sign up, I found out that it is not available to people who live in the U.S. Boo!
Seriously – keep off the grass!

I think they mean it! Do you think they have actually heard all these excuses? Or do they just have teenagers in the house and are used to arguing?
