Online Research
by Sue on Sep.20, 2010, under Life, The Web
I’ve been spending so much time on my computer researching cell phones and all of the providers that there are out there for us to choose from. I had no idea that there was so much to choose from and decide on. I have found several websites that you can go to and they have taken a lot of the leg work out of gathering current information on various providers, their products and their promotions to compare for you.
I do believe that I’ll be going with AT&T, but I still have a few more weeks to make a decision.
So Long and Good Riddance to Verizon
by Sue on Sep.17, 2010, under Life, The Web
I’ve been waiting for the end of October to arrive so that I can finally say good-bye to my current cell phone provide which unfortunately Verizon. I’ve been stuck with them for the last two years and the count down for October 31st, 2010 began shortly after signing on the dotted line with line.
I need a new phone, nothing fancy, I’m not even into texting or using the Internet on a cell phone and it definitely needs to be a flip phone. I’m so tired of butt calls since my current piece of crap isn’t a flip phone. And the buttons have to be big enough for my thick fingers to be able push correctly all the buttons needed on today’s cell phones.
The Intelligencer
by Sue on Sep.13, 2010, under Fun Stuff, Life
I just finished one of the many free books that I picked up several months ago at a yard sale. This novel was written by Leslie Silbert entitled “The Intelligencer” . It’s the first book that I have read of Ms. Silberts and I hope to find more written by her. The old saying that you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover holds true here folks, the cover was miss leading and I’m glad that I took the time to get past the first couple of pages.
Once in a while I find a book that I just can’t get past the first chapter, not often though. I love to read, wish I had more time to read, but I do carry a book with me most of the time. In my purse, in the car, in the bathroom, by my bedside. Even if I can only get a few pages in when I can I savior those moments.
Good-Bye to Summer, Say Hello To Fall
by Sue on Sep.11, 2010, under Life
I hate to see summer leave us. As much as I love the Autumn season, it just means that winter is on it’s way and all the horrible things that come along with winter. Besides the cold, the snow, the dangerous traffic, it also means that they holiday seasons are on the horizon.
I used to love Christmas as a kid, but now that I’m older it really is just a hassle from start to beginning. Bah Hum Bug” is my attitude, I’m sorry to admit. But that is the way that it is and I can just take it for what it is and get it over and done with and wait with anticipation for spring and summer to arrive to save me.
Fall TV
by Sue on Sep.05, 2010, under Fun Stuff, Life
There are a lot of commercials on the TV showing us the previews of many new shows that are slated to start the next couple of weeks. I’ll be glad to get rid of the summer reruns that we have been stuck watching all summer long. I mean you can only watch the same episode a couple of times and be done with it, right?
Survivor will be moving from it’s typical Thursday night slot, which it has had since day one, to Wednesday night. I don’t think it will effect their ratings much. They have been around for a long time and have a good sized fan base that will follow them no matter what day of the week they land on.
