Valentines day
by Sue on Feb.15, 2012, under Fun Stuff, Good Eats, Life
I bought some Valentines stuff for the kiddies and was shocked at how much it cost. It was fucking ridiculous. A stuffed bear at Hallmark cost eighty dollars, and Build a Bear Workshop was even worse. What the hell is that shit? I bought them stuff anyway, but boy was I not happy about how much I had to pay. I could have bought them so much more, if stuff wasn’t so astronomical. I just have to shake my head and keep on truckin though.
The kids were happy and I was about broke, but we had a great time. We brought out the Fondue pot and melted cheese and then chocolate and had a special dinner with just the three of us. It was really fun to do and to watch their faces when I told them what we were doing for Valentines dinner. I wish you could have seen them, it was so comical. I hadn’t used that pot since their father and I split up. I am glad I made new memories with it. I am even happier that I made my kids my Valentines this year. You can never go wrong when you spend quality time with your kids.
Zanie’s
by Sue on Jan.26, 2012, under Fun Stuff, Good Eats, Life, Videos
I went to Zanie’s comedy club with a friend and found out that I missed one of my favorite comedians by a week. Ralfie May was here about a week ago and I absolutely love his stand up. I have watched every episode on You Tube and every time he performs on Comedy channel live. He is an amazing comedian. I don’t think I have ever laughed so much as I have watching him. There are quite a few comedians that I like. Katt Willaims is awesome, as well as Jeff Dunham with his puppets. I really like his puppet Peanut. It is just too funny.
I keep looking to see when the comedians I like are going to be here, but for some reason I always seem to miss them. Maybe it is bad timing or just bad luck, I am not sure. I really wish I could go see Ron White who is coming to Nashville soon, but I have a previous engagement and cannot cancel it. comedy is good for the soul as they say, but I believe it is good for the body as well. Even many doctors agree. I will keep an eye out better from now on for my favorite comedians so that I don’t miss their shows.
Steak…yummm
by Sue on Dec.28, 2011, under Good Eats
Ok, so we went out to dinner last night to the Outback Steakhouse and it was fucking awesome ! I had a nice RARE Porterhouse steak and shrimp on the barby as well as the obligatory Blooming Onion. It doesn’t get any better then that people, it really doesn’t…lol Unless it’s Sushi, but then it’s not better, its just as good. hahaha
PBJ
by Sue on Dec.10, 2011, under Good Eats
If you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, what jelly do you use? I like just about every kind of jelly and jam and preserves out there. I love fruit, so you can’t go wrong with any of them. But I think some people have an expectation in their minds when they talk about PBJs. So I am just curious what is your favorite PBJ?
Famous Daves BBQ
by Sue on Sep.24, 2011, under Good Eats
There is a chain of restaurants that does barbecue called, Famous Dave’s. I like to eat there about once a month. One of their restaurants is only about 10 minutes from my house, but so are about a dozen other really good places to eat. So making the effort to go there specifically says a lot about how much I like their food.
They have a variety of different meats and sauces. I usually order the pulled pork when I go to a barbecue place, but Famous Dave’s does a good job with their brisket and also, believe it or not, catfish.
