There is a chain of restaurants that does barbecue called, Famous Dave’s. I like to eat there about once a month. One of their restaurants is only about 10 minutes from my house, but so are about a dozen other really good places to eat. So making the effort to go there specifically says a lot about how much I like their food.

They have a variety of different meats and sauces. I usually order the pulled pork when I go to a barbecue place, but Famous Dave’s does a good job with their brisket and also, believe it or not, catfish.

Have you ever wanted to rent an entire movie theater? My brother used to do that for the Star Trek movie premieres. He was just crazy about Star Trek and when each movie came out, he got about 20 of his best Trekker friends to pitch in and they rented their own theater for the first showing on the first night. It didn’t really cost all that much and he loved being one of the first to see the new movies.

One of my top favorite candy bars is the Almond Joy Bar. It has a cousin, the Mounds Bar. But there is a difference. The Almond Joy is milk chocolate, an almond and coconut. The Mounds bar is dark chocolate, no almond and coconut. The dark chocolate is great, but without the almond it just doesn’t have what I want. So, I stick with the Almond Joy. I wonder why they do not think that almonds work well with dark chocolate? I love them both!

Every night I am craving a cookie. This is crazy – so NOT like me! I just get a hungry right before bed that screams: Cookie! I almost never buy cookies at the store – I don’t even walk down that aisle. So when I get this awful craving for a cookie, that means I have to bake them! And you cannot just bake one cookie – you have to bake 4 DOZEN cookies.  Can we say, FAT CITY?
