Apps Galore
by Sue on Oct.26, 2011, under Fun Stuff, Technology
My new cell phone is awesome. I can download apps to do all kinds of really cool things. I found some good ones from my brother’s Android phone and I want to ask each of my friends what are their top 10 favorite apps. So far, my favorite is the one that tells me the planets, stars and constellations when I point the camera up toward the night sky. I just love that one!
Quilts and Blanket Weather
by Sue on Oct.20, 2011, under Life
This cold weather is starting to wear me down. I have had to get out the winter quilt and October is barely half over. I have a bad feeling that this winter is going to be a very cold winter. I just hope that doesn’t mean a lot of ice or snow, too. I can turn on the heat to fight the cold. But the ice and snow – that is too much to deal with.
Dream On

Dreams only die when you let them. Keep your dreams alive – if if they just go on “life support” for a while. Don’t let the naysayers make you give up on your dreams.
Closet Switch

Now that we have had our first frost and the temperature is much lower at night, I need to get my coats out and my sweaters, too. All my short sleeved shirts need to be packed up for the winter. I used to have a big drawer full of gloves. I really don’t like to have cold hands and would love to wear gloves from October until April to keep my hands warm during all the cold months here.
Famous Daves BBQ
by Sue on Sep.24, 2011, under Good Eats
There is a chain of restaurants that does barbecue called, Famous Dave’s. I like to eat there about once a month. One of their restaurants is only about 10 minutes from my house, but so are about a dozen other really good places to eat. So making the effort to go there specifically says a lot about how much I like their food.
They have a variety of different meats and sauces. I usually order the pulled pork when I go to a barbecue place, but Famous Dave’s does a good job with their brisket and also, believe it or not, catfish.
